Tuesday: Bellwork: Activity 54 predicting – commas and adjectives wkst

Begin reading Rikki-Tikki-tavi Discuss the elements of the story, discuss vocabulary, place elements in the plot pyramid, use terminology like protagonist, antagonist, foreshadowing, idiom, etc.

Hand out notes worksheet and discuss what we have already discussed

Wednesday: Bellwork: Activity 55 sequencing – usage of write/right and its/it’s

Continue reading aloud Rikki-tikki-tavi

Discuss more vocabulary, figurative language, etc.

Thursday: Bellwork: Activity 56 summarizing – proofreading warm up

When finished with the story – take AR test in the library

Copy and define vocabulary words from the story

Friday: Bellwork – Unstoppable You, wkst 113, commas and semicolons, proofreading wkst 1A

Finish vocabulary terms is needed from Thursday.
